STMicroelectronics STEVAL-ISA203V1 Evaluation Board is designed to demonstrate high-efficiency, 60W (12V/5A) DC-DC conversion from 42 to 56VDC (48V nom.). The Board STEVAL-ISA203V1 provides parameters that are particularly suitable for telecom applications.
The PM8804 controller features all the built-in circuitry needed for a compact and efficient 48V converter. The PM8804 manages the topology of flyback which is based on the power conversion. The highly configurable controller includes a programmable oscillator for switching frequency regulation up to 1Mhz, adjustable slope compensation, dual low-side complementary drivers with programmable dead time, programmable soft start, soft turn off, and a programmable blanking time for current sense.
To flyback converters, the secondary side uses the adaptive synchronous rectification controller SRK1000. The synchronous rectification controller SRK1000 flyback receives body diode sensing feedback from the secondary MOSFET STL130N8F7.
The STEVAL-ISA203V1 Evaluation Board provides a compact and efficient continuous conduction mode flyback converter design especially suitable for server and telecommunications equipment.
