The inauguration of the Samsung Semiconductor India Research (SSIR) facility in Bengaluru marks a milestone in the country’s tech landscape, aiming to propel semiconductor R&D to new heights while accommodating Samsung’s escalating demand for sophisticated infrastructure.

The SSIR campus is distinguished by its contemporary architecture, featuring an open-plan workspace across four floors. This design strategy fosters a vibrant and agile working environment, with provisions for hot-desking that enhance workspace flexibility. The campus is further equipped with over sixty high-tech meeting rooms to facilitate seamless communication among teams, underscoring the emphasis on collaborative innovation.

Expansion Plans and Employment Opportunities
With an existing workforce of over 4,500, SSIR is set to grow further by adding more than 700 positions, including roles for fresh graduates and experienced hires. This expansion signifies a substantial increase in employment opportunities within India’s semiconductor sector, demonstrating Samsung’s commitment to regional innovation and development.
